Where scores come from

Scores, schedules and box scores come from NCAA.com, read through two public but unofficial routes: a community-maintained scraper, and the internal service that powers NCAA.com’s own scoreboard.

D3 Central is not affiliated with the NCAA, and nothing here is official. Neither route is documented or guaranteed, and either can change without notice.

What that means in practice

• Scores update when our nightly sync runs, and only for sports playing that day — a result can lag the final whistle.
• Box scores exist only for games our source published them for, and can be partial: one team may have full passing and receiving lines while its opponent has none.
• Schedules are loaded in advance, so a game that gets moved or postponed after we loaded it may show its original date until the next full refresh.
• Records and standings are counted from finished games rather than taken from an official standings table, because no such table is available for Division III.
